BIRTHDAY TALK
It was two weeks before Christmas. The Cartwright family were having
dinner.
"Daddy?", six year old Mitch asked.
"Yes kid", Adam, his father, replied.
"In fourteen days time it is my birthday", Mitch claimed ceremonious.
"Amd in fifteen days time it is over", Little Joe said teasing.
"Then it is my turn", Ben reacted.
"Then me on August 25", Hoss said.
"A month later then it is the most important day of the Year", Adam said.
Everybody looked at him but didn't say anything.
"How come then?", Mitch asked after a long silence.
"I am celebrating then. As it is the day of my birth and the date is September
25, those two facts together make it the most important day of the year",
his father explained.
"You forget that after yours it is my birthday", Little Joe said.
"That isn't until Ocotber 31", his eldest brother reacted.
"Guess three times whose birthdy it then?", Mitch asked light-hearted.
"Now we are back again from where we started", Ben said laughing.
