Adam looks out from the rocks watching every move
made by
those below. How much longer was he
expected to put up with it all? Everyday it was the same thing
and he was
tried of running, tired of all the fake smiles the coy remarks. For
heavens sake
could they not see that he was just a man no more special then any
other? He looked down beside him; gun in hand ready to
defend that
which was now his.
Not wanting those below to hear him in the echoes
of the
rock he speaks through gritted teeth as he reaches his left arm out in
a
gesture of protection. It's ok, don't worry, I think they
will get
the message and will leave soon. Adam tries one last ditch
effort
to disperse the women below.
"Ladies I'm telling you for the last time, I have
made
my choice", he points to the lady in
red
beside him.
"My true love here and I were married this
morning; I
knew she had won my heart when I didn't see one piece of blue clothing
in her
wardrobe, not even a blue ribbon. So please go home so we can".
Once again Adam looks down at his beloved
and
whispers, "And when I finally get you home, you won't be wearing
clothes
on any colour for a long ...long
...time. As he
looks down at her he wonders if he can wait to until he gets her to the
cabin.
With in minutes all you can hear is the thundering
of horse
hoofs and the sobs of
