"Adam, have you lost
your senses?" the older gentleman asked with a discussed look.
The slamming of
the door annouced the incoming of the
younger sons.
"No,
"Wait a minute older brother. YOU
might
have the desire but you can just leave me out of it," Hoss exclaimed
with
a seriousness that very seldom found home in his charactor.
"I love the idea!"
"Yes, Joseph. Some how I knew you
would," Hoss exclaimed with rolling eyes.
Adam had no idea what the big deal
was with
Hoss or why Joe, who hated any extra work
was so
enthusiastic.
"O.K. but this is your project and
your
responsibility. Understood?"
"Yes sir," Adam answered,
"completely my project."
Adam got right to work on his
plans.
He sketched out the building and surrounding areas. He looked at
his page
and it seemed empty to him. Maybe a few more buildings would do
the
trick. Still, something was missing. He asked Hoss for his
input
and all it got him was a red faced brother with some emergency chores
in the
barn. Joe, however, was eager.
"Here, Adam. Let me see what
you
have so far."
Adam handed the paper to his
brother.
Joe reached for the pencil and added
his own
touches and then, smiling to himself at his artistic
cleverness, handed it back to Adam.
Adam looked carefully at the paper
and a
smile crept across his face.
