HOPE

Joe's heart
was racing. It was the same nightmare. Even awake, the images assaulted him. He
relived the tragedy over and over
There hadn't been enough time. It ended too soon.
Joe was falling apart. He was all alone.
Adam was gone.
Hoss was gone.
He hid the sorrow from his father. It was destroying them
both.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Joe couldn't face his
father, but he wouldn't lock him out. He deserved better.
The door creaked open.
"I'm home buddy," came
the deep baritone voice of his eldest brother.
