" My Summer Vacation Plans "

" I am bein' to think that time has decided to stand still. Golly, there is only three more days of school left until my summer vacation starts. YIPPY, YIPPY, YIPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!! "
" Now, here comes the BIG problem. It has taken one month for the last two days to go by, well not really, but it sure does seem like it."
" Come on Friday !!!!!!!! Please get here FAST. I dunt think I can last three more days of havin' ta look at old Miss Jones. I tell ya, looking at her face is 'nough to give a good boy like me nightmares."
" Now my family thinks that I'm not always a good boy, but I think I am, well most of the time. I can't help it, can't be good all the time, now can I ?"
" I sure do hate bein' in school all day long. It is just so BORING !" So I let my very smart brain think about SUMMER VACATION !!!"
" We was sittin' in that stuffy old class room taday with 'round ten minutes until the end of the day, when Miss Jones said this."
" Alright boys and girls, before I dismiss class for the day, I want you to do the following homework project. I want you all to write an essay about how you plan to spend your summer vacation. As a second part to your essays, I want you to write something short about what your dream summer vacation would be. I think you will all have a good time writing your essays. I want them finished by tomorrow. Ok, class dismissed."
" I dunt think she was ever gonna finish talkin', but for once, I think she might be right 'bout this essay bein' kinda fun ta write. I usually hate doin' essays, but not this time. Can't let anyone know that this might be fun."
" After dinner, I headed up ta my room ta get my essay written. I'm just glad it dunt gotta be long. The shorter the better I say."
" How I Will Spend My Summer Vacation "
" Since I live on a LARGE ranch, there is always lots of chores that need ta be done. So as ya can guess, that's what I will have ta do this summer. CHORES !"
" We, my two older brothers, much older brothers, 'secially Adam, and me have ta get up early every day. I hate gettin' up early, but I dunt have much of a choice, cuz if'n I won't get up, one of my older brothers comes up ta my room ta wake me up."
" If'n I dunt get up right away, they, usually Hoss, will pull me out of my nice comfy bed, and he dumps me on the floor with my blankets. I always tell him that, that ain't nice, but he dunt think so."
" After breakfast, it's out ta the barn ta muck out the stalls, feed the horses, and I also gotta feed Hop Sing's chickens, and collect the eggs, but I really dunt mind that, except fer that dadburn old rooster."
" That stupid rooster chases me all over the chicken pen, and if'n I ain't careful, he will peck at my poor little butt, and that can hurt too."
" Then it's off with my brothers ta repair fences around the ranch. Sometimes that takes forever ta get done, cuz the winter snows can be really hard on them fences."
" I like ta go and check out all the line shacks ta make sure they are in good shape, and that they have lots of supplies in em."
" Sometimes Pa gives us the afternoons off so we can go ta the lake and go fishin' and swimmin'. That is really fun. We love ta get fish for dinner on them days."
" I gotta watch out fer my big brothers, cuz there are days when they give me a bad time and they toss me in the water trough, which ain't so bad on a hot day.
" One of the things that I have ta do all the time is chop wood fer the fireplace, and Hop Sing's cook stove. I also gotta cut kindlin' too. Pa says that all the wood storage boxes have ta be filled at all times."
" By the time I get all the wood chopped ta last a few days, I'm tired, so I love to go down ta the creek behind the house and jump in the cool water. That feels so good and refreshin'."
" So livin' on a LARGE ranch makes fer lots and lots of chores."
" My Dream Summer Vacation "
" Ah, my dream summer vacation would be so much fun. I would sleep in late everyday. Then I would get up, and get ready for my day of playin', swimmin', fishin', ridin' my horse, Tony, and playin' with my friends."
" I
would stay up later at night like my brothers and
" We would have picnics everyday and cook out at night. We could go campin' in the woods or campin' in my cave."
" The best part of my dream vacation would be, NO CHORES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
" That would be my dream summer vacation."
" That next day at school, Miss Jones made us read our essays out loud. I couldn't believe that she made us read em out loud. That wasn't fair !"
" I got lots of laughs with my essays, and even MIss Jones laughed too, but she told me that my English wasn't so good, and that I should try harder to say things right. Golly, I thought my English was good 'nough, cuz that's how I talk ya know."
" Pa was happy that I got good grades fer the school year. See old Adam ain't the only smart one in this family, cuz I am too."
" YIPPY, YIPPY, YIPPY, IT'S MY SUMMER VACATION TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
