Ben could feel
the
fraying ends of his temper unraveling rapidly. After all
the tumultuous events of the past few days, he had no time or
patience for
additional turmoil and this incessant bickering had pushed him
beyond
endurance.
Unholstering his gun, he whirled around in a smooth motion to face
his
tormentors.
"Enough!" he bellowed and blessed silence descended.
Satisfied that he had captured their attention, Ben continued, in a
strong,
forceful voice that brooked no argument.
"Puchi is going to rewrite My Brother's Keeper - THE WAY IT SHOULD
HAVE
BEEN! And that means there is simply no place for either of you!
So, get
going." He gesticulated with the gun barrel into the distance, his
mouth set
in a grim line, his eyes full of determination.
The Reardons exchanged rueful glances. Sheila pursed her lips into
a small,
tight circle of distaste, while Emmet adjusted his woolly scarf as
they
prepared to slink off into the nebulous world of the television
extra. In
their wake, the Legacy list members applauded loudly.
